Tasks are a powerful feature of Bobuild, that let you create automated workflows without programming. They can be used to perform a variety of operations, such as:
📄️ Scheduled tasks
Some work should happen even when nobody is clicking a button: reminders the week before an event, nightly status syncs, weekly digests, or advancing a workflow after a deadline. Scheduled tasks run automatically on an hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly basis so those routines stay reliable without calendar alerts or manual batch runs.
📄️ Record operations
Most automations eventually create, change, copy, or remove data. Record operations are the task actions that do that work — so workflows can open a case, clone a template, append a tag, stamp a due date, or clean up obsolete rows without leaving the no-code builder.
📄️ Nested tasks
Run a child task lets one workflow kick off another on related records — without copying the same actions into every parent task. That keeps complex processes maintainable: change the child once, and every parent that calls it stays in sync.
📄️ Sending e-mail
The e-mail feature of Bobuild is great for sending workflow notifications or reminders.
📄️ Generating documents
In many cases, you might need to generate downloadable documents from the data of your Bobuild app. This powerful feature lets you design a completely custom template and have it filled by Bobuild on-the-fly within your app.
